Justina Neepin is a Cree producer, writer and filmmaker based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She is a graduate of the University of Manitoba with a BA in English and Film Studies. After winning the inaugural RBC Emerging Filmmaker pitch competition at the 2012 Gimli Film Festival, she formed a production company with her sister JJ Neepin, called JJNEEPINFILMS. The pair have produced several short films that have played at numerous national and international film festivals. And they are currently in development on their first feature film. Justina is also Chair of the DGC Manitoba BIPOC Diversity & Equity committee, and a member of the Winnipeg Indigenous Filmmakers Collective. Justina is also a writer for the children’s series ‘Chums’ on APTN.
