Shawn McGrath is a lawyer with a preferred area of practice in entertainment law. He has many years of direct, hands-on production experience as in-house counsel for prominent and successful film and television production companies in Canada, and through his business affairs company for the screen-based media production industry.
Shawn is well-versed in the full arc of the life of multiplatform film, television and digital media entertainment projects, from conception through production, distribution and on-going exploitation, working with individuals and organizations throughout the industry – including producers, financiers, broadcasters, distributors, unions/guilds, creative personnel, regulators, and insurers – provincially, nationally and internationally.
